new project is a new beginning to which Mills Construction
brings a long history of past successes. Now, after
50+ years, the company is undergoing a more fundamental new
beginning – new leadership, a new look and, more importantly,
a renewed and heightened commitment to our customers. As
part of this, my employees and I make this pledge: we
will strive for excellence and the highest quality attainable
in everything we do. I have asked each employee, crew
and special team to constantly evaluate everything they do
and how they can do it better. This company is on its
way to a whole new level of excellence. I hope you

The PEOPLE
Our employees are our most important asset. The president, on-staff architect, three project managers, purchasing agent/selections consultant, mechanical division department head, accountant/HR representative and executive assistant staff our main office. Seven job superintendents and approximately 55 field crew employees man the field.
HISTORY
Mills Construction has
been in business in eastern South Dakota for well over 50 years,
since 1949. Although the company’s emphasis in the early years was to build homes for the Brookings community, the company’s
scope and expertise has grown to encompass many different types
of construction. Now a full-service general contracting firm,
Mills Construction has built a solid reputation by constructing
high quality projects that meet client expectations, always striving
to provide the best value for the client.”
